HitHunt
How to play

Real-time musical charades

HitHunt is fast, loud, and better with friends. Six steps and you'll nail your first round.

01

Form the teams

Split the room into 2 to 5 teams. Each team picks a name.

02

One device per team

Each team shares ONE phone or tablet. Within the team, the current performer holds the device, sees the secret song, and passes it to the next teammate on the next round. That way nobody sees the song in advance.

03

Mime or hum

When your team's turn comes up, the person holding the device sees the song and makes the rest of the team guess it. You can mime silently, or hum without words.

If you hum, you MUST stick to the SAME syllable until the round is over. Started with 'la la la'? Stay on 'la'. No switching to 'na' or 'pa' mid-round — that's basically saying the lyrics.

04

Burn hints (and points)

Stuck? Your team can unlock up to 2 hints about the song. Each hint you open lowers the max points you can score that round. Use sparingly.

05

Scoring

When the team guesses right, points depend on how many hints you opened:

Correct, no hints
5
Correct with 1 hint
3
Correct with 2 hints
1
Wrong or time's up
0

06

Contest window

After the team marks correct, the other teams have 10 seconds to contest if they disagree. If anyone contests, the round scores 0 and moves to the next team. If no one contests, the point sticks.
