HitHunt generates a random ID in your browser's local storage so you can rejoin a session after a reload or disconnect. The ID is not tied to any personal data and never leaves your device except to identify your team inside an active game session.
Sessions and the scores associated with them are deleted automatically a short time after the game ends. We keep anonymized aggregates (how often a song was played) to improve the catalog.
We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, or location. Team names are free-text strings chosen by players and visible only inside the game lobby.
A secure httpOnly cookie is only set for the administrator area. The public game uses localStorage for the device ID and locale preference — nothing else.
